About Ian Scheuring

After spending most of the last decade in television news, Ian Scheuring joined the City and County of Honolulu in the spring of 2022 as deputy communications director for Mayor Rick Blangiardi. 

Prior to working for the city, Ian managed digital content and distribution for the award-winning newsroom at Hawaii News Now. His experiences in television also include producing, reporting and anchoring, as he’s worked as a sideline reporter for CBS Sports Network football broadcasts.

He won an Emmy® Award for his coverage of the 2018 Kilauea Eruption on Hawaii Island.
